The earth is a planet in the solar system. We have just the right conditions for life to flourish here. On earth we experience a number of different types of weather which each have their own distinct sound, rain falling on the ground, wind rustling through trees and waves crashing on a beech.
Space on the other hand is a vacuum – there is no gas.
Because there are no gases to vibrate, sound cannot travel across space.
