Rudolph Eb.er

Rudolf Eb.er is a radical Swedish performer and sound artist.

Rudolf Eb.er has been active since the mid 80s and is known for producing obscure and challenging audio work under the name Runzelstirn & Gurgelstøck. His work explores the human psyche, death and reality by combining outsider art and actionism with extreme sonics, psychoactive acoustics and cut-up compositions.

He generates audio-environments into which he plants grotesque psycho-magic rituals designed to trigger a higher awareness of being and detach from the ego.

He founded the SCHIMPFLUCH extreme-artists-collective in Zürich in 1987 and is constantly touring with fellow members. Their confrontational, physically demanding performances and actions have led to riots and the group being banned in certain countries. In 2013 he set up the label Schimpfluch Associates with Dave Phillips to focus on works by sound artists associated with Schimpfluch.
