Explore using graphic scores in the classroom with our new learning resource, developed as part of the Go Compose A Minute project.
Working with composer Cassandra Gurling (who took part in Sound and Music’s 2020 New Voices programme), children and teachers from 5 Primary schools in Tower Hamlets explored new and exciting methods for composition, performance and listening skills. Sessions with Cassandra helped embed new techniques, which formed the basis for future teacher-led sessions. These sessions led to the creation of a Minute of Listening collection, featuring compositions created by pupils at Malmesbury Primary School, which is featured in the learning resource.
