Rainforests are large forests with tall plants and trees. They are characterised by the large amount of rain they experience. Plants and animals have often adapted to cope with the extreme rainfall and often high humidity. The sounds in rainforests varies from the calls of animals to the wind rustling through trees and rain falling on leaves.
