A saw can be used as a musical instrument! The player grips the handle between their knees. One hand is used to bend the blade into an S curve. The other hand pulls a bow across the back of the blade in line with the centre of the S curve. The pitch changes as the player alters the bend in the blade. As the bend approaches the handle (the wider part of the saw) the pitch gets lower.
