Vicki Powys lives in Capertee Valley, New South Wales, Australia and is a wildlife sound recordist and landscape painter.
Powys has been recording wildlife sounds and writing about birdsong since the 1980s, and was until recently the sound editor for the Australian Wildlife Sound Recording Group.
Her other passion is landscape painting. Trained at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney in the 1960s, she has exhibited regularly and written about local history.
