Christopher Schlechte-Bond is a British composer and arranger who was born in Liverpool and now lives in London. He was awarded a Prince William Scholarship to study Composition at the Royal College of Music in London, and graduated with a Masters degree in 2016.
Schlechte-Bond writes music for chamber ensembles, orchestras and choirs, as well as creating works for theatre, film, radio and advertising. He is also interested in electronic and electroacoustic composition, and enjoys recording both exotic and everyday sounds and digitally manipulating them to bring out their innate otherworldliness.
Schlechte-Bond is Co-Creative Director of “Ecoshed”—a contemporary music ensemble which combines experimental music with visual art, and has written for many prestigious orchestras, chamber ensembles and choirs. His film scores have featured in festivals in Cannes, London, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Los Angeles, Taiwan, Italy and Poland, and his music has appeared in television programmes on Channel 4 and the BBC.
